Cookie policy
This policy explains what this site stores on your device and what it is for. It complements the Privacy policy.
1. What this covers
Out of habit we call cookies everything a site stores on a visitor’s device in order to recognise it later: cookies proper, and also the browser’s local storage. The law treats both the same way, and so does this policy.
2. We do not measure your visit
This site has no traffic analytics and no advertising tags. We do not know which pages you saw, how long you stayed, or where you came from. That is also why no box appears asking you to accept cookies: there is nothing to accept.
If we ever start measuring, this page changes before the measurement starts, and a consent box appears to ask you. Nothing begins to be collected without your saying yes.
3. What we use
One thing only, and it is strictly necessary:
- The anti-bot check on the request form. Placed by Cloudflare on the pages where that form appears, to tell a person from a program. Without it the form would be open to automated submissions. It is not used to identify you or to follow you.
We do not use cookies to follow you across other sites or to build a profile about you. Refusing does not apply here, because there is nothing optional to refuse: the site works, the form works, and your request gets the same answer.
4. If you want to clear what is in your browser
You can delete and block cookies in your browser settings at any time, without telling us. The site keeps working. Only the anti-bot check may ask you to confirm again that you are a person when you submit the form.
5. Changes to this policy
If we start using cookies other than those listed here, this list changes before they are placed, and a consent box appears to ask you.
